Hi everyone,
It has been brought to my attention that I may not have made clear the fact that the mural would act as a map at the entrance of the library. The areas of the library would be mapped out and given their corresponding brain area as a room title. Of course it will not be completely literal but representational. The plan view of the library inset in the brain will give enough visual clues for the users of the library to understand the basic message. Not all students will understand the more complex clues. I think that those little complexities that aren't boldly apparent are what add character and excitement to the work. So it's okay if not everyone understands the concept in it's entirety. Visually I know we are going to make a powerful impact just from ideas thrown around on this BLOG. We could even blow up areas of the mural and place them in the different areas of the library. A friend of mine had mentioned having the mural mounted and bolt it in panels to the wall. I will sketch it out. Sometimes things are hard to picture. This would create the modern, advanced technology feel that we are going for.

By the way, I think using a visual clue like the arrow in this picture would be a cute idea. (Yes like the maps at the mall, "you are here.")

Yes - it's th concept we're putting out there, not the details, I think.
